Headshots are always an interesting part of the job for me because I typically don’t yet know the person on the other side of the camera and therefore need to win them over fairly quickly in order to gain their confidence in front of my lens. Confidence truly is the trick to a successful headshot (amidst lighting, posing, wardrobe, make-up). If you have all of those factors lined up but the photographer doesn’t connect with the subject, the results will not reflect the subject as themselves.
But with Michelle? Geesh. I think I could have not said a word and stood behind a black curtain and her photos would still be stellar. She appeared SO comfortable in front of the camera and it shows in every shot. Thank you for allowing me to capture YOU!
