#BREAKTHEBIAS Shoot FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’s DAY

WHAT IS #BREAKTHEBIAS?

From the International Women’s Day website:
“Imagine a gender equal world.
A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.
A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Together we can forge women's equality.
Collectively we can all
#BreakTheBias.”

WHAT THIS PROJECT IS:

This is personal. As a woman, I know I am not alone in the experiences I’ve had in my lifetime where I felt “less than” due to my gender. My guess is - you have too. Instead of (staying) in the past with all that has gone wrong, I want to hear your voice to paint a picture of a world going FORWARD.

GENERAL INFO:

  • Date: Thurs, Sept 2, 2021

  • Time: 4:00pm

  • Location: 4924 Adler Pass, Raleigh, NC 27612

WHAT TO WEAR

Plain is best! One pieces only for ladies, board shorts for men. Keep hair DRY.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The storyboard is to the left. This is an abstract version of what we’ll shoot on Thursday. There is no sound on this video from our shoot, so laughter & fun is absolutely encouraged! We will shoot the scene 15-20 times from varying angles. The most helpful thing you can do is remember your mark (i.e. where you started) and start from the same exact spot every time.

MODEL RELEASE

Model releases have been emailed out to everyone. Please e-sign before Thursday.

WHO I’M LOOKING FOR:

  • Kids & Teens! Give us your experience, your vision, your beautiful way of looking at life. Whether you just want a photo or want to say a sentence on video, you are welcome.

  • Women…Moms, not-moms, pet-moms, twenty-somethings…you are welcome.

  • Our elders. You have seen more than I can imagine. If you would grace us with your words or your portrait, you are welcome.
